Happy Friday Vegas!

Welcome to the Explore 702 Weekly Events Guide! 🎉

Your Weekend Playbook is Officially Live! 📌

If a series of sudden, house-shaking midnight thunder cracks jolted you straight out of your sleep this week, you definitely aren’t the only one! ⛈️👀 The summer monsoon has officially made its dramatic entrance into the valley, kicking off with a wild middle-of-the-night dry lightning show that had all of local social media buzzing. But while the sky is keeping us on our toes, the real headline is the massive, wind-cooled breather sweeping into town just in time to knock our temperatures down into an absolute weekend sweet spot.

Instead of sifting through the generic noise online, I have personally hand-picked the absolute best of the best happening across the valley to fill your calendar. This week’s lineup heavily anchors the culture with massive, back-to-back arena runs at T-Mobile Arena featuring Summer Walker taking over the stage on Friday and global superstar ROSALÍA bringing her world tour on Saturday night, alongside Big Sean headlining Friday night at Hakkasan. But the fire doesn’t stop there—we are diving headfirst into global electronic icon Alison Wonderland headlining the colossal 10th-anniversary Foam Wonderland festival, a consecutive two-night residency run with comedy royalty Jerry Seinfeld and George Lopez, and a dreamy, immersive shoegaze lineup with Turnover at AREA15. Whether you are hunting down the scoop on the massive new “Casita Law” that just completely rewrote our backyard housing rules, planning an opening-week trip to the world’s largest Museum of Ice Cream, or mapping out the central convention traffic corridors, I’ve got you covered. Grab a cold drink, turn down the AC, and let’s dive straight in! 🚀✨🏡🎤🍦

Beyond the events, I am so excited about the growth of our brand-new Facebook group, The Neighborhood. We just hit over 200 Founding Members, and I am absolutely blown away by the response and now it is time to turn that group into a real Vegas Intelligence Hub! Because we are just getting started, the conversation is really just beginning—and that’s where you come in!

If you haven’t joined yet, please JOIN NOW—I’m building this to be more than just a group; I want it to be the real voice of the 702. Whether you want to share a raw review of a new residency, find or tell us about the best local mechanic, or better yet just show us how you do Vegas, we want to hear your voice! This is where the real conversation needs to happen. We are just getting started, and I would love for you to be a part of the Neighborhood as we grow toward our first 500 Neighbors and beyond.

Here’s what's going on this weekend...

💦 💥 The History & Hype of Foam Wonderland💥 💦

If you’ve never stepped foot inside a Foam Wonderland event, prepare yourself for one of the most legendary, high-octane subcultures in the entire electronic dance music scene.

  • The 10-Year Legacy: What started over a decade ago as a wild, experimental underground concept has grown into the single largest touring foam festival in the world. Known globally as The Ultimate Foam Party Experience, this tour is famous for completely redefining traditional concert production. Instead of just looking at a stage, the audience is fully immersed inside a storm-like atmosphere where industrial-strength, world-record-breaking foam blast-cannons shoot waves of suds over thousands of festival-goers simultaneously. This year’s tour stops at Craig Ranch to celebrate their massive 10th Anniversary milestone, meaning the production, lasers, and bass rigs are being completely dialed up to the max.

  • 🔊 The Sonic Lineup: The music curation for this tour is always tailored for heavy bass lovers and festival purists. Headlining the spectacular Las Vegas stop is global electronic icon Alison Wonderland, known worldwide for her emotionally raw lyrics, massive trap beats, and world-class festival energy. Joining her to anchor the heavy sonic landscape is the “Queen of Mexican Bass” Jessica Audiffred, alongside hard-hitting electronic trailblazers Muerte, Stoned Level, Monstr, and 1mposter.

  • 🎆 The Atmosphere & Finale: Because this massive event is taking place at the beautiful Craig Ranch Regional Park Amphitheater, you get the absolute best of both worlds: a pristine, expansive park environment with an elite outdoor stage setup that lets the sound travel beautifully under the stars. And because it’s a milestone anniversary tour, the night doesn’t just end when the music stops—the event features a synchronized, stadium-caliber Foam & Fireworks grand finale that will light up the North Las Vegas sky at midnight
Massive outdoor electronic music festival at Craig Ranch Amphitheater in Las Vegas with industrial foam cannons blasting the crowd under a giant fireworks grand finale.

🏡 Real Estate Alert: Nevada’s New “Casita Law” Shifts Into High Gear

  • The Scoop: For all my local property owners and fellow real estate lovers across the valley, a major legislative shift is officially going down. To fully comply with Nevada Assembly Bill 396, the local city recommending committee just officially forwarded Bill 2026-24 to completely ease the zoning codes and regulations surrounding Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), commonly known as backyard casitas or mother-in-law suites.

  • Why It Matters: This isn’t just a minor technicality—it completely reshapes local land use. The city is throwing out the old, restrictive 6,500-square-foot minimum lot-size requirement entirely, allowing homeowners in all residential districts to build attached or detached ADUs. Even better? Second full kitchens are now permitted by-right without needing to go through the agonizingly slow and costly special use permit process.

    • Home Girl Tip: 📍 As your neighborhood real estate expert, keeping an eye on this zoning update is an absolute must! This policy completely unlocks massive multi-generational living options and fast-tracks your ability to build long-term rental units right in your backyard, instantly sky-rocketing your overall property value over the next 12 to 24 months. 🏡📈

🦩 “Welcome to the Jungle” — Bellagio Conservatory Unveils Dramatic Summer Tropical Paradise

The spectacular Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens has officially pulled back the curtain on its Summer 2026 jungle extravaganza, titled “Paradise: Nature’s Most Beautiful Creations.”

  • By The Numbers: The breathtaking 14,000-square-foot floral wonderland features 21 larger-than-life animal sculptures hidden among 20,450 live tropical plants. A team of 100 horticulture experts worked around the clock for six straight days to style the space—using 8,500 real goose feathers to texture the majestic tigers, and over 900 pounds of brown and golden flax seeds to recreate the intricate coats of towering, 20-foot-tall giraffes.

    • Home Girl Tip: 📍 The display is completely free, open 24/7, and runs through September 12th. To elevate a summer date night, make a reservation for “The Watering Hole”—a brand-new, highly exclusive pop-up cocktail experience tucked directly inside the center of the jungle beds featuring a curated three-course artisanal cocktail and small-plate menu! 🦩🍹

WHAT WE'RE LOVING THIS WEEK

🏈 Silver & Black Give Back!

Nothing beats seeing our hometown teams invest directly back into the neighborhood! This week, we are absolutely obsessed with the incredible community milestone out in Henderson. The Donald W. Reynolds Boys & Girls Club of Southern Nevada officially unveiled a beautiful, state-of-the-art synthetic football field for local youth.

The massive upgrades were fully funded through a spectacular joint grant from the Raiders Foundation and the NFL Foundation, providing local kids a safe, elite, and world-class space to play, train, and thrive after school. Hundreds of local students, club officials, and organizational leaders packed the sideline while the Raiderettes officially welcomed everyone out onto the turf for the ceremonial first drills. Check out the beautiful footage below to see the community celebrate the grand opening ribbon-cutting and watch the next generation of local athletes get to work under the sunshine!

Home Girl Tip: 📍 Want to match the Raiders’ energy and support our local youth? The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada are always looking for local volunteers, mentors, and program partners to help out across their valley locations. Head directly over to their official website at bgcsnv.org to see how you can donate supplies, sign up to volunteer, or support their upcoming local summer community drives!

LAS VEGAS WEATHER UPDATE

The National Weather Service and local emergency officials just held their annual monsoon safety briefing, right as tropical moisture officially triggered a wild wave of “dry thunderstorms” across the valley floor. ⛈️⚡ Because the lower desert atmosphere is still so parched, most of the actual rainfall evaporated before hitting your roof, leaving the city treated to a massive midnight lightning show with barely a drop of actual precipitation! 🌵✨

Now that those midnight rumbles have cleared out, we are catching a massive, much-needed breather from that brutal mid-week heat just in time for the weekend! 🧘‍♂️☀️ A strong southwest breeze is sweeping through the valley, triggering an official Wind Advisory with gusts up to 50 mph on Friday and Saturday, which is successfully knocking our temperatures way down. 🌬️🍃 Friday will top out around 101°F before dropping to a gorgeous 95°F on Saturday and an absolute dream of a Sunday high at just 90°F! 🏊‍♂️🍔 Afternoon pool days and backyard barbecues are going to have the ultimate breezy backdrop, while evening patio dinners will feel refreshing as overnight lows plunge to a crisp 67°F to 71°F. 🍹🌙

As we head into the upcoming workweek, the wind completely dies down and our classic high-pressure ridge slowly rebuilds. 🛠️☀️ Clear, sunny skies will dominate Monday through Thursday as the valley floor steadily warms back up, starting at 93°F on Monday and climbing right back to a sizzling 101°F by next Thursday. 📈🥵 Early mornings are going to be your absolute gold-standard timeframe to walk the dogs or run your errands before the intense July heat begins to build its momentum! 🐾🏃‍♀️

  • Home Girl Tip: 📍 With those massive weekend wind gusts peaking up to 50 mph on Friday and Saturday, secure your patio cushions, pool floats, and loose trash cans right now so they don’t end up in your neighbor’s yard! 🌪️🚫 And as we officially kick off monsoon season, keep the local golden rule in mind if you get caught in a sudden summer downpour later this season: Turn Around, Don’t Drown! 🚗💦

VEGAS MEANS BUSINESS (AND TRAFFIC)

Our local valley convention halls and resort showrooms are bustling with a diverse mix of crowds wrapping up the month! We have approximately 30,000+ out-of-town visitors hitting the city over the next several days—ranging from national healthcare practitioners and elite martial arts athletes to thousands of competitive youth dancers and beauty industry professionals. If you are out running errands, commuting home from work, or trying to secure a mid-week dinner reservation, here is exactly who is in town and where to expect the heaviest localized delays.

  • AANP National Conference | June 23 – June 27 | The Venetian Convention and Expo Center

    • The Numbers: Gathering a massive, high-profile crowd of approximately 5,000+ healthcare leaders, nurse practitioners, and clinical researchers.

    • The Local Footprint: This massive medical contingent will keep the upscale lunch spots, casual eateries, and coffee houses throughout the Grand Canal Shoppes running at absolute capacity through Saturday afternoon.

  • American National IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship | June 25 – June 27 | Las Vegas Convention Center (South Hall)

    • The Numbers: Bringing roughly 5,000+ elite martial arts athletes, coaches, and spectators to the central convention district.

    • The Local Footprint: This high-turnover athletic group creates quick-service dining rushes and heavy rideshare pickup queues directly framing Desert Inn Road and Paradise Road right around the late-afternoon tournament brackets.

  • IAMWMW International Convention | June 25 – July 3 | Flamingo Las Vegas

    • The Numbers: Hosting a dedicated, multi-day national assembly of roughly 550 delegates and organizational leaders.

    • The Local Footprint: Because this group is stationed right in the heart of the mid-Strip, expect noticeably heavier pedestrian traffic and lounge activity centered around the Flamingo and the LINQ Promenade throughout the entire week.

  • Be+Well Beauty and Wellness Show | June 27 – June 29 | Las Vegas Convention Center

    • The Numbers: Attracting a vibrant crowd of over 13,000+ beauty professionals, brand exhibitors, and wellness industry buyers.

    • The Local Footprint: As the largest incoming footprint of the weekend, this group will spark heavy mid-morning traffic bottlenecks along dynamic resort corridors near the West Hall, alongside busy dinner crowds flanking nearby Strip steakhouses.

  • Velocity Dance Convention National Finals | June 28 – July 5 | MGM Grand Resort & Casino

    • The Numbers: Bringing a massive summer wave of approximately 2,000+ elite youth dancers, instructors, and family spectators for their season finale championship.

    • The Local Footprint: Stationed completely on the south end of the Strip, this week-long family convention will trigger packed lines at casual food courts, quick-service spots, and the main pool decks inside the MGM Grand complex.

  • A Salute to Broadway Fan Convention | June 27 – June 28 | Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa

    • The Numbers: Drawing approximately 1,000+ dedicated theatre enthusiasts and collectors to Henderson.

    • The Local Footprint: While this footprint won’t impact the main Strip corridors at all, it will completely fill the lakeside dining patios, water taxi docks, and resort lounges out in the Lake Las Vegas community all weekend long.

  • Home Girl Tip: 📍 With over 13,000 beauty professionals hitting the central Convention Center loops starting Saturday morning, and 2,000+ dance families taking over the south Strip by Sunday, your absolute smoothest commuting route to completely bypass the resort bottleneck is to stay off Las Vegas Blvd and use I-15 or back-roads like Valley View and Paradise to glide across town completely stress-free! 🚗💨
