The National Weather Service and local emergency officials just held their annual monsoon safety briefing, right as tropical moisture officially triggered a wild wave of “dry thunderstorms” across the valley floor. ⛈️⚡ Because the lower desert atmosphere is still so parched, most of the actual rainfall evaporated before hitting your roof, leaving the city treated to a massive midnight lightning show with barely a drop of actual precipitation! 🌵✨
