🗓️ Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5, and polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (or until the last person in line votes).
🗳️ Early in-person voting begins Oct. 19, and voters can visit any early voting site in Clark County.
✉️ If you prefer to vote by mail, you must register by Oct. 22. After that, any new voters will need to vote in person.
You can always opt in or out of receiving a mail-in ballot by checking your registration status on Clark County’s website or through the Nevada Secretary of State’s Office. There, you’ll also find the closest voting locations for your convenience.

LAS VEGAS NEWS

It’s time to say farewell to a piece of Las Vegas history. The iconic Tropicana Hotel, a 67-year-old landmark, is set for implosion on October 9 at 2:30 a.m. The demolition will clear the way for a brand-new Major League Baseball stadium, as the Oakland A’s make their move to Vegas. Two hotel towers—the Paradise and Club towers—will be brought down in just 22 seconds, marking another chapter in the city’s tradition of “out with the old, in with the new.”
The event will feature a spectacular drone and fireworks display, but there will be no public viewing areas. However, you can watch the action via livestream on the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority’s X (formerly Twitter) account or on ballylive.com.
For many, the Tropicana holds memories of legendary performances, anniversaries, and family vacations, but like everything in Vegas, change is part of the city’s DNA.
WHAT WE'RE LOVING THIS WEEK
This week, we’re inspired by the Las Vegas Rescue Mission and their upcoming 13th annual Walk a Mile in My Shoes event. Set for Saturday, October 12, at 9 a.m., this community fundraiser offers a chance to make a difference while enjoying a morning of walking, music, and festivities. Participants will also get the opportunity to help pack snack bags for the shelter’s guests.
The Rescue Mission, which began in 1970 with a small storefront building, has grown to span two city blocks, providing vital services to hundreds of men, women, and children daily. From offering 30,000 meals each month to running programs that include emergency food services, recovery support, and even a thrift shop, the mission’s impact is profound.
Registration is free, and you can sign up in advance at www.walkamilelv.com. Join us in supporting this incredible cause—let’s walk together for a better tomorrow!
