Life Is Beautiful is shaking things up with a fresh new format—the Big Beautiful Block Party, happening this weekend on September 27-28. For a decade, Life Is Beautiful transformed our city into a playground of music, art, and culture, and now they’re bringing something more intimate and focused. The Block Party promises to keep the spirit alive with a genre-bending lineup featuring names like Toro y Moi and Badbadnotgood, leaning back into their indie, electronic, and dance roots.
Social media has been buzzing with opinions, but the lineup for this year’s Block Party is getting us excited. This two-day event is set to reignite the energy we all know and love from Life Is Beautiful, but with a twist—no overlapping sets, affordable prices, and a real focus on delivering an amazing experience. Get ready to discover new favorites and enjoy a fresh take on what made LIB so beautiful in the first place.

There are some amazing events happening for kids all around Las Vegas! First up, check out Splash Bash at the Splash Pads on Saturday, September 28, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Craig Ranch Regional Park. Get ready for a morning of water, foam, games, music, and more—all free and fun for all ages! 💦
Next, head over to O’Callaghan Park for the Sprinkle Dash Kids Color Run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Run through colorful stations and dance your way to the finish line, where victory cupcakes and bounce houses await! 🎨🏃♀️

Get ready to lace up those skates, because Usher is bringing the ultimate roller skating experience to Vegas! In partnership with Flipper’s World, Usher is helping launch Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace, a full-service roller skating venue coming to The Venetian Resort in November. Taking over Tao Beach Day Club, this unique winter residency will transform 47,000 square feet into a roller skating paradise, with a 3,250-square-foot rink over the venue’s two pools. Whether you’re a seasoned skater or just want to join the party, this experience will be one-of-a-kind. Open Thursday through Sunday, noon to 8 p.m., it will feature special programming for those 21 and up, along with top DJs and performances. Usher himself is expected to help kick off the opening festivities, making this a must-see event in Vegas!

Vegas Strong Fund’s New Memorial Initiative: This week, we’re feeling inspired by the ongoing efforts of the Vegas Strong Fund, which is launching a fundraising campaign for a permanent memorial to honor the 58 lives lost in the tragic October 1, 2017, Route 91 shooting. The planned memorial, a 2-acre space at East Reno Avenue and Giles Street, will include powerful design elements like an infinity-shaped pathway and the 58 Candles installation. These features will symbolize eternal love and memory, reminding all visitors of the courage, compassion, and unity that emerged in the face of tragedy. The nonprofit will officially kick off its campaign at the Clark County Government Center on September 30, unveiling a public website and fundraising details. This project represents Vegas’ unbreakable spirit, and we are here for it! #NeverForget
