Happy Friday Vegas!
What are you up to this weekend, %contact_first_name%? If you feel a little extra magic in the air this morning, it isn’t just the spring sun. Today, we are witnessing a piece of Las Vegas history as we officially rename Park Avenue to Bruno Mars Drive. Whether you’re joining me for the parade this afternoon or gearing up for the global kickoff of his stadium tour tonight, the 702 is officially Bruno’s world this weekend.
But the energy doesn’t stop there—from the final flight of the Eagles at the Sphere to a world-record-setting Rockabilly takeover, this is one of those weeks that reminds us why we love calling this valley home. Grab your coffee, check the forecast, and let’s dive into your weekend roadmap.
And don’t forget to join our brand new Explore702 Facebook Group to share your own local tips, experiences, and photos.

- Bruno Mars: The Romantic Tour | Allegiant Stadium | Friday, April 10th & Saturday, April 11th @ 8:00 PM

- Last Call: This is officially the final weekend to catch the legendary Eagles in the most immersive venue on the planet. After 58 historic shows, the longest-running residency in Sphere history concludes tomorrow night. If you haven’t experienced Hotel California on a 16K screen with crystal clear spatial audio, this is your very last chance before the band heads out on their Long Goodbye stadium tour.
- Big Bad Voodoo Daddy | Pearl Concert Theater at Palms | Friday, April 10th @ 8:00 PM
- The kings of the swing revival are bringing their sharp suits and high-energy big band sound to the Pearl for a night of unstoppable rhythm that feels like stepping into a vintage jazz club turned all the way up.
- Scotty McCreery: Fall of Summer Tour | Bel-Aire Backyard at Durango Resort | Friday, April 10th @ 8:00 PM
- Country star Scotty McCreery is bringing his deep baritone and string of hits to the beautiful poolside stage at Durango. This is the perfect way to spend a Friday night in the southwest valley. The backyard vibe at Durango is upscale, relaxed, and offers some of the best outdoor concert acoustics in the city.

- This is one of the city’s best-kept secrets for families—it’s completely free and features an artisan marketplace, local BBQ, and a dedicated kids’ zone. Bring a low-back chair and enjoy the perfect 702 spring weather.
- Tacos & Tamales Festival | Desert Breeze Park | Saturday, April 11th & Sunday, April 12th @ 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

- NCAA Frozen Four: National Championship | T-Mobile Arena | Saturday, April 11th @ 2:30 PM
- For the first time ever, the pinnacle of college hockey is taking over the Las Vegas Strip. The four biggest titans in the sport have battled all week, and it all comes down to this championship game Saturday afternoon.
- Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend | The Orleans Hotel & Casino | Friday, April 10th – Sunday, April 12th
- Step back in time at the largest Rockabilly event in the world. This is a four-day takeover featuring 24-hour music, one of the best classic car shows in the country (on Saturday), and vintage burlesque—expect thousands of people from around the globe dressed in their best 1950s vintage attire. It is people-watching at its absolute finest.
- Vegas Golden Knights vs. Winnipeg Jets | T-Mobile Arena | Monday, April 13th @ 7:00 PM
- The race for the playoffs is heating up, and there is no energy in the city quite like a Knights home game. This is a critical late-season matchup, so expect the Vegas Born crowd to be out in full force. If you aren’t going to the game, the surrounding Toshiba Plaza is still the place to be for the pre-game atmosphere.
- Black Violin: The 40 Million Strong Tour | The Smith Center | Tuesday, April 14th @ 7:30 PM
- If you’ve never seen Black Violin, prepare to have your mind blown. This duo blends classical violin and viola with high-energy hip-hop beats, creating a sound that is as soulful as it is groundbreaking. It’s sophisticated, powerful, and a great mid-week reset for anyone who loves music that defies genres. Perfect for a Tuesday night out at the Smith Center.
- Wet Leg | Brooklyn Bowl at LINQ Promenade | Thursday, April 16th @ 6:00 PM
- The British indie-rock duo that took the world by storm is bringing their infectious energy to the Brooklyn Bowl. Known for their deadpan lyrics and catchy riffs, this is the cool show of the week for the music lovers in the 702.

LAS VEGAS NEWS
First-of-its-Kind Tiny Home Community: The City Council just unanimously approved Sunridge on Searles, the first-ever tiny-home community in Las Vegas. Located at Searles and Eastern Avenues, this $6 million project will feature 50 studio-style homes built right here in North Las Vegas by Boxabl.
- Home Girl Tip:📍With rents targeted around $1,000 (utilities included!), these 360-square-foot homes are a major “first step” in solving the affordable housing crisis in the 702.
The Super Bowl Returns to Allegiant: It’s official—the NFL has unanimously voted to bring the Super Bowl back to Las Vegas in 2029 (Super Bowl LXIII). After the record-breaking success of 2024, the league confirmed that Allegiant Stadium is now a permanent part of the Super Bowl rotation. This is a massive win for our local economy and solidifies us as the undisputed sports capital of the world.
The “All-Inclusive” Strip Trend: In a major shift for Vegas hospitality, the three giants—MGM, Caesars, and Resorts World—have all officially launched all-inclusive bundle packages this week. For the first time, you can book stays that include dining, resort fees, and entertainment in one flat price. It’s a huge move to boost tourism and a complete game-changer for how people vacation on the Strip.
WHAT WE'RE LOVING THIS WEEK
The Oakland A’s & Make-A-Wish: A Home Run for a Local Teen. We love seeing our sports teams give back! This week, the Oakland A’s (our future neighbors!) teamed up with Make-A-Wish to grant a local Las Vegas teenager’s wish.
Las Vegas, we are officially loving the heart our future neighbors already have for our community! This week, the Oakland A’s (who will be our neighbors on the Strip in 2028!) teamed up with the amazing crew at Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada to grant a truly incredible wish for a courageous Las Vegas teenager, and they didn’t just invite him to the game—they made him the game. It wasn’t just a meet-and-greet; they rolled out the red carpet and made him part of the team for a day. It’s a beautiful reminder of the positive impact these major leagues are already bringing to our community’s kids.
From the minute he arrived, it was a full red-carpet experience. He was given his very own locker, a personalized A’s jersey, and was signed to a one-day contract by the team. He got to take batting practice with the major leaguers, sit on the bench during the game, and even meet some of the coaches and staff behind the scenes.
Beyond the baseball, this is the exact kind of human infrastructure that makes Las Vegas such an amazing place to live. Seeing our global brands connect so deeply and purely with our local children is what true home-field advantage is all about. We can’t wait to welcome the A’s permanently in 2028!
LAS VEGAS WEATHER UPDATE
If you’ve been waiting for the real Vegas spring to show up, this is your week! We are kicking things off with a beautiful, sunny Friday with a high of 84°F. It’s officially time to trade the light sweaters for sunglasses—today is going to be a stunner for the Bruno Mars parade.
As we head into the weekend, we’ll see a slight refreshing dip into the mid-to-high 70s for Saturday and Sunday. It’s that sweet spot where it’s warm enough for the pool but cool enough to walk the Strip without breaking a sweat.
Looking ahead to the work week, the desert is giving us a little bit of everything. We’ll see a brief cool-down on Monday with a high of 69°F—perfect for that Golden Knights energy at the Fortress—before we climb right back into the low 80s by Wednesday. It’s a dry, sunny stretch with very little wind, so keep the sunscreen handy and enjoy every second of this outdoor weather before the real triple digits find us!
