LAS VEGAS WEATHER UPDATE
☀️🌡️ Classic Triple-Digit Summer Scorcher Locks In Across the Valley
Welcome back, everyone! It feels good to be back home in the 702 after my trip to Cleveland—and as expected, Las Vegas is serving up peak summer heat! If you thought mid-July was intense, hold onto your sun hats because an extended excessive heat ridge is parked right over Southern Nevada. We are looking at relentless, blazing desert sunshine and high-temperature peaks pushing past 110°F straight through next week.
The weekend sizzle kicks off today, Friday, July 24, with full sunshine baking the resort corridor. Expect afternoon highs to climb to a scorching 112°F before gently dipping to an overnight low of 90°F under clear night skies. A gentle 11 mph wind coming out of the southeast will bring a slight breeze, though it offers zero relief from the sun. Saturday, July 25 ratchets the temperature up even further, topping out at a fiery 113°F with a low of 92°F and a 14 mph wind from the southwest.
As we roll into Sunday, July 26, temperatures ease back ever-so-slightly to 110°F with a low of 90°F and a 14 mph wind from the south. That 110°F high holds completely steady right through the main workweek setup—Monday, July 27 (low 89°F), Tuesday, July 28 (low 88°F), and Wednesday, July 29 (low 88°F) will all hit 110°F under bright, mostly sunny skies. Heat builds right back up by Thursday, July 30, climbing right back up to 113°F with a low of 89°F.
-
📍 Home Girl Tip: 🚨 Hydration & Early Morning Rules in Full Effect! With consecutive days hitting 110°F to 113°F, your safe window for outdoor walks or running errands shrinks rapidly. Try to lock in all outdoor activities before 8:30 AM! If you’re walking pets, remember that asphalt temperatures can easily soar past 140°F—always test the pavement with the back of your hand for 7 seconds before letting your furry friends step outside! 🐾💧☀️
VEGAS MEANS BUSINESS (AND TRAFFIC)
Late July is ushering a massive influx of trade delegates, corporate buyers, and real estate leaders right into our local resort and exhibition corridors! With nearly 40,000 out-of-town industry visitors touching down across Southern Nevada this week, traffic conditions around Downtown Las Vegas and the East Paradise district are set to see noticeable daytime spikes. Whether you’re trying to dodge rideshare bottlenecks on your daily commute or planning a night out, here is the breakdown of who is in town and where to expect local crowds:
-
Las Vegas Market – Summer 2026 | July 26 – July 30 | The Expo at World Market Center (Downtown)
-
The Numbers: An absolute giant of a wholesale buying event, drawing an estimated 38,000+ interior designers, furniture buyers, gift retailers, and corporate executives to the downtown Arts District.
-
The Local Footprint: Expect heavy shuttle traffic, rideshare slowdowns, and localized gridlock framing Grand Central Parkway, Martin L. King Boulevard, and the I-15 downtown off-ramps starting Sunday morning. Nearby dining spots throughout Symphony Park, Fremont East, and the Arts District will experience a major surge in lunch and dinner reservations all week.
-
-
NAREB 78th Annual National Convention | July 26 – July 31 | Virgin Hotels Las Vegas
-
The Numbers: Bringing an estimated 1,500+ housing advocates, mortgage professionals, real estate brokers, and community leaders to Southern Nevada for the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) flagship annual summit.
-
The Local Footprint: Traffic impact will be centered along Paradise Road, East Harmon Avenue, and University Center Drive near Virgin Hotels. Expect busier evening dining and elevated rideshare activity around the off-Strip East Paradise corridor through Friday.
-
