Between the 1 October Sunrise Remembrance Ceremony at the Clark County Government Center and the Forever One Memorial Groundbreaking on October 2nd, it’s a powerful reminder of how close-knit this valley really is.
Beyond that, the valley has a packed lineup over the next seven days—from major conventions taking over the Strip to live shows, outdoor pop-ups, and great local food.

Registration is officially open for the 2026 Susan G. Komen Southern Nevada MORE THAN PINK Walk, taking place on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Town Square Las Vegas. The 1-mile community walk brings together survivors, caregivers, and local supporters to raise critical funds for lifesaving breast cancer research and patient support services.
Schedule & Registration Details: Site opens at 7:00 AM, ceremony at 8:00 AM, and walk begins at 8:30 AM. Registration is $30, which includes an official event T-shirt for eligible participants/fundraisers and directly supports local patient care and research programs.
Participation Options: Attendees can sign up as individuals, start a corporate team, or form a neighborhood group to walk together on event morning via the Official Komen Registration Page.
Volunteer Opportunities: Volunteers are needed for event-day setup, route water stations, and participant check-in. Shifts run on event morning (5:00 AM to 11:30 AM), and individuals or groups can register directly via the Komen Volunteer Portal or by emailing NEVvolunteer@komen.org.
Boyd Gaming has officially sold the 29.5-acre site of the former Eastside Cannery property along Boulder Highway at Harmon Avenue for $28.8 million. Following Clark County Commission approval, homebuilder Lennar Corp. is set to transform the vacant land into a brand-new residential subdivision.
Development Plans: The project features 279 two-story single-family homes, two community park areas, and a neighborhood walking trail.

A Sacred Space on the Strip: Following years of community design sessions, survivor input, and dedicated fundraising by the Vegas Strong Fund, ground is officially breaking this October on the permanent Forever One Memorial. Located on the 2-acre site along the Las Vegas Strip, this memorial will stand as a lasting sanctuary of hope and reflection.
The Architectural Vision: Shaped as an infinity symbol from above, the sanctuary features the 58 Candles—58 brilliant pillars of light alongside a 58-foot glass Tower of Light, a peaceful Remembrance Ring, and 58 living trees planted to honor each life lost.

Whether you’re heading out to the annual Greek Food Festival in Spring Valley, catching outdoor concerts on Fremont Street, or catching Vegas Golden Knights hockey back at T-Mobile Arena, the valley is delivering crisp mornings, breezy afternoons, and prime autumn vibes.
